GO HOUNDS!

« on: April 19, 2010, 03:55:58 PM »

The Hounds have lost a devoted fan and the fan bus crew has lost a dear friend with the passing this morning of Donnie Jolicoeur. We know how much he hated missing games and trips and how he hated being sick. As much as we know he is in a far better place, we will miss him.

Condolences and sincere sympathy to his family and loved ones from Bob and I.

God rest your soul, Donnie. Watch over us and our Hounds from your new vantage point.

Well written Malarkey. We will miss Donnie at the Essar as well as on the fan bus.
Donnie loved the Hounds and the Montreal Canadians and was a true fan of both!

GO HOUNDS!

I don't know about other OHL cities/fans but the turn-out today for the visitation and the get-together at Breakaway made me proud to be a Hounds fan and one of the fan bus crew. I'm sure Donnie was taking it all in and was surprised at the response-he was a pretty humble guy and I'm sure didn't expect it but was certainly grateful.

Thanks also to the Breakaway management and staff.....the building of bonds in good times and bad is what sets businesses apart from the run-of-the-mill and engenders loyalty.

I'm sure Donnie would be surprised to know how many people think they are better for having had him in their lives....even the most tenuous of connections. The hockey "nation" is a special entity and we've lost a true fan of the game.

If only he wasn't a Montreal fan too!! Wink Grin Toast
