LAST UPDATE: Monday, April 6/2010
Check the links on the right side of this page for previous articles that have been posted here! OHL PLAYOFF RANKINGS FOR STARTING GOALIES 1st - Petr Mrazek(OTT) - Petr has come on to be the star of the current series against Mississauga. He has stolen the last 2 games and IS the reason Ottawa leads the series. This rookie and 2010 NHL Draft Prospect is certainly raising his stock and could help Ottawa get much deeper than anyone expected. 2nd - Matt Hackett(PLY) - He shut down the Greyhound offense in round 1 but has been overwhelmed against a much stronger Windsor team. He is facing over 40 shots a game but continues to stop nearly 37 of those shots each game. A shame that his team's offense can't compete against Windsor - as his effort will be forgotten when Plymouth is ousted this round. 3rd - Chris Carrozzi(MIS) - Chris is playing better in the playoffs than the regular season but is being beaten by a rookie goalie in Ottawa. Consistent solid efforts by Carrozzi gives Mississauga a chance to win every game. He hasn't lost a game for his team but he needs to help his team steal a few games to get them to the next round. 4th - Brandon Maxwell(KIT) - As expected Brandon is finding the second round tougher, against a tougher team. He continues to play well but is showing signs of weakness against snipers like Nazim Kadri. He has been the better to of the two goalies in this series and could still help his team have a chance at taking London to the end. 5th - Peter DiSalvo(BAR) - Barrie continues to start DiSalvo despite his mediocre play. Luckily they have Parks in the wings - who given the chance would outplay DiSalvo. With the strength of the team in from of Peter, he should be posting much better numbers. 6th - Philipp Grubauer(WIN) - A three legged donkey could play goal for Windsor and win. I expected more from Grubauer in the post-season but his performance has yet to impress and I believe he played better in the regular season. If Windsor can be beaten, it'll be by team that can put pressure on the goaltending. 7th - Patrick Killeen(BRA) - Killeen nearly cost the series against Kingston and has faired NO better against Barrie. His play has been less than average and only the solid defense of his team-mates keeps it from being embarrassing. 8th - Michael Hutchinson(LON) - Hutch' needs to thank Kadri every day. Without London's offense we would have seen a drastically different outcome. Michael had a good regular season but has yet to show his true ability in the post season. IF (big if) London moves on to play Windsor then Hall and company will score at will, considering Hutchinson's current level of play.
